About the project

The project will examine the impacts on the Shire's urban water supplies and irrigated agriculture as a result of changed water availability and reliability. The results will be analysed and strategies proposed to empower the community to ensure the Shire remains vibrant and productive. The Council will:

The project will deliver strategies to allow the Balonne Shire to prosper while responding to climate change and the changing environmental management practices within the Murray-Darling Basin.
