About the project
About the project
This project is to recycle Corowa’s township effluent water resulting in potable water saving of at least 100 ML per year. Effluent water from the Corowa sewerage treatment plant would be treated and utilised to irrigate the Corowa Race Course and South Corowa recreational parks and gardens.
The proposal is to construct and install the following:
- 3000 metres of 150 mm diameter pressure pipe;
- a 16 L/s pump station;
- dedicated on site storage (Corowa Race Club);
- provision for alum dosing;
- a motorised valve at the inlet to the on-site storage; and
- electrics, control and associated telemetry.
Project benefits
This project will produce potable water savings of more than 100 ML per year (up to 240ML in time) and secure the future of a number of public facilities which are important to the wellbeing of the Corowa Shire community.
