About the project
The project is to develop an integrated water cycle management strategy with due regard to the challenge of climate change to ensure that water resource management in the Central Darling Shire Council area is sustainable.
Project benefits
The project will be developed in accordance with the structured planning approach underpinning Integrated Water Cycle Management (IWCM) and will be consistent with the IWCM guidelines for NSW Water Utilities and the NSW Governments Climate Change Action Plan.
It will include:
- water quality and environmental flow objectives; and
- catchment, water sharing, regional water and strategic business plans.
The project offers the opportunities to value add to the water cycle, providing the community with positive economic and environmental outcomes.
