Forbes WFP Backwash and Sludge Treatment and Reuse System
Forbes Shire Council
Funding: $1,211,000
About the project
The project involves the construction of a facility to allow the treatment of waste process water from the Forbes Water Filtration Plant (WFP).
Project benefits
It will enable the recovery of water that can then be used for the irrigation of the adjoining sporting complex replacing the current potable water or being recycled back to the head of the WFP. This will lead to a reduction in extraction of up to 300 ML.
