About the project

The Griffith City Council is the lead recipient for a consortium of Council's covering the regions of Griffith, Carrathool, Leeton, Murrumbidgee and Narrandera. This project is to investigate climate change impacts in the regions serviced by these Councils and will:

Project benefits

The project will help local governments in the RAMROC's Riverina cluster group plan for a future in which water sustains food production, key industries, communities and the environment.

Project completion

This project was completed in July 2012 and resulted in the production of Economic Development Strategies, Water Saving Infrastructure Strategies and Asset Management Strategies for each council in the consortium. These strategies will assist the Councils as a whole identify more water saving opportunities and minimise loss due to poor infrastructure.
