Meadows Community Wastewater Management System & Stormwater Treatment Plant
The District Council of Mt Barker
Funding:$750,000
About the project
This project will upgrade a proposed developer funded Class B waste water treatment plant to a Class A waste water treatment plant together with an upgraded water supply and associated reticulation to the existing oval, bowling club and leisure grounds within the township of Meadows.
Project benefits
The project will:
- help reduce the town's reliance on ground water;
- reduce the discharge of treated wastewater into Meadows Creek;
- provide additional ground water flows into the Finniss River; and
- potentially reduce the level of salinity evident in the region.
