Funding submission for Serpentine alternative water source

Coliban Region Water Corporation

Funding: $1,300,000

About the project

This project aims to secure and improve the water quality for the township of Serpentine and modernise several open channel stock and domestic systems through the installation of pipelines which will be connected to the 'backbone' irrigation system in the Pyramid-Boort Irrigation Area.

Project benefits

The connection of the township of Serpentine to this new source of water will significantly improve the security of supply and water quality to the urban customers. The change from the Loddon River system to the Goulburn system should also improve the health of the Loddon system.
