About the project
The City of Wodonga is the lead Recipient for a consortium of Councils covering the regions of Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla, Alpine, Indigo and Mansfield.
The project will concentrate on the social and economic aspects of climate change with a specific focus on water availability. It will provide in depth analysis and planning solutions in relation to water resource management, saving water through infrastructure improvements as well as reducing consumption and changing behaviours toward water need to take place concurrently.
Project benefits
The City of Wodonga's project aims to develop planning solutions to build resilience and capacity at all levels to respond to the climate change through:
- delivery of vulnerability assessments and resilience planning;
- delivery of social and economic change and adjustment studies;
- development and delivery of practical solutions and tools for all urban and rural water users; and
- development of a regional climate change strategy and action plan.
