About the project
This scheme will develop a reuse scheme to use 230ML per year of recycled effluent water for the watering of Young's golf course and Miller Henry oval. This recycled water will substitute for potable water in the watering of these community facilities.
Project benefits
The reuse of effluent in Young will have three principle positive results being the:
- reduction in demand for potable water:
- betterment of the town's facilities: and
- reduction of nutrient laden water discharged to natural waterways.
