Recycled Water Plant for Victorian Surf Coast Growth Corridor
Black Rock, Victoria
Total funding:Total project cost of $42 million, with funding of $10 million from the Australian Government under the National Water Security Plan for Cities and Towns and the remaining funding provided by Barwon Water Corporation.
About the project
Barwon Water Corporation is constructing an enhanced recycled water plant with capacity to produce 3000 million litres of recycled water each year at Black Rock in Victoria. A pipeline between the treatment plant and the urban development site of Armstrong Creek, seasonal storages and a pump station at Black Rock will also be constructed. Balancing storages at Armstrong Creek will enable peak recycled water demands to be met and a recycled water distribution network will distribute Class A water to individual developments.
