The Goulburn River influences the Barmah Forest Ramsar site (Barmah-Millewa Living Murray Icon site ) and Gunbower Forest Ramsar site (Gunbower-Koondrook-Perricoota Forest Living Murray Icon site ) during periods of high flow. These sites are located in the Victorian Murray catchment.
