Oberon Stormwater Harvesting Scheme - Not Proceeding

Project location: Oberon, New South Wales

Funding recipient: Oberon Council

Total Australian Government funding: $2,325,000 (GST exclusive)

Water savings: up to 200 ML/yr

About the project

Oberon has two principal stormwater catchments. The largest of these is located to the north, comprising the majority of the developed urban environment.

The stormwater from this catchment will be transferred to a storage pond prior to its use for industrial purposes.

Infrastructure constructed under this project will include a harvesting pond, storage pond, pump stations, package treatment plant and transfer and delivery pipelines.

Stormwater Harvesting and Reuse projects are funded by the Australian Government's Water for the Future initiative.
