- Provide storage for up to 2.6 gigalitres of recycled water per year to supply West Werribee Dual Water Supply Scheme customers.
- To optimise future expansion of the West Werribee Dual Water Supply Scheme salt reduction plant.
- To increase the knowledge of aquifers and aquifer storage and recovery projects in the Melbourne/Werribee Region and their potential as a water resource management.
The project is expected to be completed by June 2015.
