Water Meter Test Facility Upgrading and Accreditation
The Australian Government will be investing over $600 million in more accurate water metering and monitoring under the national water plan. Meters will need to be accurate to within +/- 5% error, meeting the requirements of national standards.
Funding for Water Meter Test Facilities
Applications for funding for Accreditation of Water Meter Test Facilities and Upgrading Water Meter Test Facilities closed on Monday 19 November 2007 at 4 pm, Canberra time. Thank you to all those who applied.
Applications have been assessed. Applicants may be contacted to seek additional information. All applicants will receive a letter advising them of the outcome of their applications.

- Accreditation of Water Meter Test Facilities is targeted at those water meter test facilities that are interested in seeking accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025 or its Australian equivalent for their existing water meter testing capability.
- Upgrading Water Meter Test Facilities relates to those water meter test facilities that are interested in upgrading their water meter testing capability and then seeking accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025 or its Australian equivalent for that expanded capability.
