Mann570 - Gloucester River at Koorabah
Site Condition Summary
This site on the Gloucester River was just upstream of its junction with the Manning River. On the left bank, the riparian zone was native forest, beyond which the land had been cleared. The riparian zone on the right bank had been partly cleared to provide water frontage for a residential dwelling. Some exotic plants were present on both banks.
The instream habitat and water quality appeared undisturbed. Water quality variables were all within expected ranges.
AusRivAS assessments of the edge (O/E-Taxa value 0.90) and riffle (O/E-Taxa value 0.88) habitats indicated rich macroinvertebrate communities were present in each.
