About the review

This review, Water Smart Australia Program Review and Lessons Learnt, was commissioned by the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities to evaluate the Water Smart Australia Program including:

• the performance of individual projects against their funding objectives
• the performance of the program against its stated program objectives
• the contribution of the program to advancing the National Water Initiative.
