The Australian Government produces a web-based Calendar of Events for World Wetlands Day each year. If you have a World Wetlands Day activity that you would like advertised before 2 February, please contact wetlandsmail@environment.gov.au.

Breakfast with the Birds of Bittern Coastal Wetlands

Activities Leaving at dawn, participants will walk the boardwalk in small groups led by expert guides, enjoying nature's sights and sounds. Breakfast at Jack's Beach afterwards will include the launch of BirdLife Australia's new national shorebird poster.

Meeting place/venue & time The Tahbilk Cafe is where you need to sign in for the Eco Cruise. You will then be directed to the boat landing.
Every Saturday and Sunday in February leaving at 1.00pm & 2.30pm (40 min cruises)
4th+ 5th February, 11th + 12th February,
17th + 18th February, 24th + 25th February

World Wetlands Day and the 10th Anniversary of the borrell-a-kandelop Project

Activities Help us celebrate the achievements of borrell-a-kandelop - Western District Lakes Protection and Rehabilitation. Afternoon tea, displays, photos, talks on wetlands, waterbirds, grasslands and threatened species of the Western District Lakes Ramsar Site. Special guest Prof. Kate Auty Commissioner, Sustainability Victoria
