Overview

This Policy Statement sets out how the Department prepares statements of reasons for decisions made under the EPBC Act. Statements of reasons give persons affected by decisions under the EPBC Act the opportunity to have these decisions fully explained to them, and then to make informed decisions about whether to exercise any rights of review and appeal that they may have.
