Past consultation for the 2015 Australian Heritage Strategy
The inaugural Australian Heritage Strategy was developed over several years in close consultation with the heritage community in Australia, and sought input through a number of public consultation processes. Consultation papers were designed to draw out community discussion on how we can best recognise, manage and interpret our heritage.
A public discussion paper and ten commissioned essays were released in April 2012 to outline some of the current challenges and opportunities relating to Australian Heritage. A draft of the Australian Heritage Strategy was released for public comment between 14 April and 9 June 2014 and the Government invited comment on the development of the Australian Heritage Strategy between 1 November 2013 and 24 January 2014.
