Wildlife Trade Application Portal: Change is coming

The Department of the Environment and Energy will be launching a new online wildlife trade permit application portal in December 2018.

What does this mean for you?

The online form that you use to apply for wildlife trade permits is being replaced by a new online portal in December 2018

Once live, links to “apply for a permit” will automatically send you to the new portal.

Any pending applications that you might have in the current permitting system will not be affected.

Why a new portal?

The new online portal is part of a Departmental system upgrade that will be easier for you to use and will streamline the wildlife trade permit application process.

What do you need to do?

While the new portal is not yet accepting wildlife trade permit applications, you can register an online services account.

You will need to do this before you can submit any permit applications through the new portal.
