Countrywide Pet Foods Pty Ltd Wildlife Trade Operation for the export of kangaroo skins as a by-product of the Victorian Government’s Kangaroo Pet Food Trial

Comments invited

The Department of the Environment has received an application from Countrywide Pet Foods Pty Ltd for a Wildlife Trade Operation under part 13A, section 303FN of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (the EPBC Act). The application is for the commercial export of kangaroo skins obtained as a by-product of the Victorian government’s Kangaroo Pet Food Trial. Information on the Pet Food Trial can be found on the Department of Environment and Primary Industries website.

Should the operation be approved it is proposed that it remain in force for up to three (3) years.

In accordance with the provisions of section 303FR of the EPBC Act, you are invited to comment on this proposal. Please submit your comments by 31 August 2015. Please include your full name and address in your submission.
