Proposed Wildlife Trade Operation for South Pacific Taxidermy to export preserved taxidermy specimens

Invitation to comment

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment has received an application for a Wildlife Trade Operation under Part 13A, section 303FN of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (the EPBC Act). The application is for the commercial export of preserved taxidermy specimens of native Australian wildlife, other than those listed on Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), or as threatened under the EPBC Act.

Should the operation be approved, it is proposed that it remains in force for up to three (3) years.

In accordance with the provisions of section 303FR of the EPBC Act, you are invited to comment on this proposal. Please submit your comments by Tuesday 5 May 2020.
