Relationship between the Sea Dumping Act and the EPBC Act

The Department works under both the Environment Protection (Sea Dumping) Act 1981 and the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) to protect the marine environment from wastes and pollution that are dumped at sea. The two Acts are related as shown below:
